Novel feedback is the shortest and least expensive of the edits I offer. In novel feedback, I examine your manuscript for such large issues as:

What is a developmental edit?

What is a line edit?

A line edit focuses intensively on sentence structure and content. Where a developmental edit or a novel feedback examines large plot and content issues, a line edit delves into the building blocks of the story. Line editing will check your manuscript for such issues as:

• Filter verbs
• Gaze tracking
• Adverb dropping
• Grammatical edits
• Word repetition/Word choice

Proofreading

What is proofreading?

Proofreading is the glazed finish on your gorgeous oak chest of drawers. It tweaks those final mistakes that may have gotten covered under a hundred exhausted perusals and polishes your book to its ultimate shine. It is the simplest edit I offer, but one of the most necessary. No one wants to find a “teh” in their book where a “the” should have appeared instead.

What is formatting?

When authors finally complete all their edits, they want a finished product in their hands, a book to hold and read in all its single-spaced, chapter-headed glory. This is where the formatting comes in. I offer formatting services on my website, although I outsource this particular service to a professional. These services include:
